Senior Surveyor

T.E.A.M Nigeria Ltd. is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Surveyor to support the supervision and delivery of the Kano-Maradi-Dutse Railway Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing all surveying activities to ensure accurate alignment, safe construction, and compliance with railway engineering and regulatory standards across the project sections in Kano and Katsina.

Job Description

  • ​Plan and coordinate survey activities in collaboration with the Head of Survey, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct topographic, alignment, and control surveys for railway tracks, bridges, stations, and associated structures.
  • Operate and manage Total Stations, GPS, and levelling equipment (optical/digital).
  • Process and analyze survey data using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS to produce drawings, longitudinal profiles, and cross-sections.
  • Establish, verify, and maintain benchmarks and control points.
  • Ensure compliance with railway safety standards and survey regulations.
  • Prepare technical reports, survey records, and documentation.
  • Carry out quality control checks and resolve survey discrepancies.
  • Support setting-out and verification of contractor works on site.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying or Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Surveyor registration/certification (an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in railway or major infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and GPS surveying systems.
  • Strong knowledge of railway alignment, control networks, and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in field conditions across multiple project locations.
