T.E.A.M Nigeria Ltd. is seeking an experienced Quality Control and Assurance Engineer to oversee and enforce quality standards on the Kano – Kaduna Railway projects. The ideal candidate will ensure all engineering works comply with company, client, and industry quality expectations. The role involves working closely with the Design Vetting Office, Project Management, and Contractors to maintain compliance and continuously improve processes.

Job Description

Quality Assurance

  • Implement QA policies and procedures in line with company standards.
  • Ensure all project activities meet regulatory and quality standards.
  • Conduct audits and process reviews to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to set contractor quality requirements.

Quality Control

  • Monitor and advise on the performance of the quality management system, producing data and reporting on performance against set standards.
  • Liaise with the construction team and supervisors to check the quality of work done, ensuring that the relevant QAQC procedures are properly adhered to
  • Carry out product quality inspection before, during, and post-completion.
  • Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.

Training and Development

  • Train team members on QA/QC processes.
  • Lead the QA/QC personnel, providing direction and support.

Risk Management

  • Identify potential risks before they become a problem, focusing on risk assessment and mitigation planning.
  • Address and discuss issues and proposed solutions with superiors.

Communication

  • Report significant quality risks and interventions to the Technical Director.
  • Maintain open communication with contractors to ensure all parties are aware of quality objectives, outcomes, and improvements.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, quality management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control in infrastructure or railway projects.
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience conducting audits, inspections, and leading quality teams.
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
  • Ability to lead, train, and communicate effectively with teams and contractors.
  • Strong risk assessment and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work on-site under various environmental conditions.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours when necessary.
